You may have noticed it
was a slightly shot week here at IVM, that's because yours truly was
down in London for the 'Best Of British' event at Slimelight, which
you'll be able to read about next week. However that didn't stop us
from getting plenty up on the site for you.
The first of our news
stories concerns the next event we're sponsoring, which is next
Friday in Birmingham – so if you're in the area go and check it
out! We also saw the brand new video from IIOIOIOII for their single
'Rising Sky', and vampyric synth-popes BlutEngel announced the
release of their forthcoming live CD/DVD/Blu-Ray 'Once In A Lifetime'.
If that wasn't all we
had a report from the Birmingham Alternative and Burlesque Fair
featuring some nice photos from Dokka, as well as reviews of the new
albums from Tactical Module and Solitary Experiments. Also some of
you may have read my editorial column in which I gush about my all
time favourite album 'October Rust' by Type O Negative.
While over on the
facebook page we had a tour trailer courtesy of Atari Teenage Riot. A
little plug for our columnist End: The DJ, and the news that
electro-metallers Orgy have an IndieGoGo campaign to fund their next
album... which I just hope recaptures some of the magic of
'Candyass'.
Right that's it for
this week. I have photos to edit and features to write... So here's a
little something to keep you company.
