Continuing the current
trend for musicians crowd-sourcing from their fanbase. Estonian industrialists Freakangel
have announced a new campaign to fund their next music video, 'The Ones To Fall' from the forthcoming album of the same name. The
band's target is 1500 Euros to cover the film crew, light equipment,
film equipment, models, food, make up, stage hands and fuel/transport
costs.
The band says: "The
ideas are there and we have done some test shots so that we have a
very clear idea of what the video will be like, the script is ready,
we have found locations etc.. The only thing we need is some extra
funding to make this happen: 1500 Euro to be precise."
The campaign is
offering twelve incentives to fans that pledge to the video fund
including credits in the video, t-shirts, downloads, CDs.
Regarding the concept
of the video, Freakangel's Dmitry had this to say:
"The video itself
is about the human weakness, about destructive emotions and about not
being able to stop looking at something that is forbidden. It's about
loving someone who you think is perfect for you. But in the end you
realize that you are being drugged into something that will destroy
you."
The band's new album
will be out later this autumn and that IndieGoGo is the only way to
pre-order a (signed) copy. To pledge, please visit the IndieGoGo page HERE. For more information on the band, please
