Editorial: August 2013

It's time for another editorial column already? Well, so be it!

First of all I'd just like to say to all the bands, artists and labels that have responded to the Intravenous Magazine Compilation THANK YOU. The response has been so great that it's shaping up to be a DOUBLE album! We have a few spaces left before we close the entries, so if you want your band to feature, please get in touch.

The next item on the agenda this month is the news that this year's Infest festival may be the last one for a while. The festival has been a staple part of the festival calendar for the past fifteen years. We appreciate the fact that the organisers want to take a year out from it, especially with Alt Fest on the cards for next August. But we do hope that it is a short break and that we don't loose such a quality even from the calendar. I'm sure the Intravenous Mag readers will join us in hoping that that they come back with another great line-up in 2015. In any case we'll have a preview of this year's festival on the site soon.

In other news the poll on the Intravenous Mag facebook page is still going as we need more opinions! This first one asks the music buying public what their favourite format is to buy, and the music makers what they sell the most of. So please, for the sake of informed research, vote and comment! We'll be taking it down this week and putting the next one up which will ask “Where do you prefer to purchase music?” so please make sure you get on facebook and let us know!

Finally, if you are interested in writing for IVM please direct your attention to the tab at the top of the site marked 'Writing For IVM'. Especially if you are a film buff.
