It's been an action-packed week at IVM towers. Perhaps the most exciting news is that we are planning a compilation for January next year to mark our first year anniversary! So if you're in a band and want to book a place check out the announcement in my Editorial column and contact us if you want to take part!
In other news The
Mediaeval Baebes are also looking ahead to the end of the year with
their annual cathedral tour announcement. While Germany's Lord Of The
Lost are to release their first live album.
We kicked of the
reviews this week with our new writer Dokka has he got his hands on
the new albums from Volt9000 and the long-awaited début from The Causticles. P Emerson Williams got in depth with the new release from
Merzbow and Nordvargr. We also had a listen to the newest album from
Front Line Assembly and a look at the new Ben Wheatley film 'A Field In England'.
Our big feature this
week saw Kev send us a cracking interview with up-and-coming act The .Invalid. And columnist Joel Heyes asked 'Where are the swashbucklers of Goth?'.
Over on the social
network front we got to look at some rare footage of Bauhaus performing at the legendary Hacienda club. There is a chance to win tickets to next year's Resistanz festival. The welcome return of cult
web comic Writhe and Shine. A tour trailer from Solitary Experiments
as well as new music videos from Dawn Of Ashes and GOG.
