Well
we are now past the halfway point in the year and so far it has been
a very enjoyable ride. But I don't think it's too soon to start
thinking about the future, not when a group like the Mediaeval Baebes
is announcing their end of year plans. So with that in mind, we're
taking stock and looking ahead to year number two of Intravenous
Magazine.
One
thing we're aiming for to kick off next year with is a free
downloadable compilation album, which I'm hoping will become an
annual tradition. The aim is to make it available indefinitely from
our own Bandcamp page. We'll be looking for exclusive new songs,
demos and remixes from new and exciting acts from around the globe.
We'll
be including a PDF booklet with the album that will include
biographical information and hyperlinks for every band and label
featured. And as it will be a downloadable album there are no
overheads for CD printing so it will be a nice and affordable
promotional opportunity. So if you're interested in your band
contributing to the album, please get in touch via the form on the
contact page.
In
other news the
poll
on the Intravenous
Mag facebook page is still going as we need more opinions! This
first one asks the music buying public what their favourite format is
to buy, and the music makers what they sell the most of. So please,
for the sake of informed research, vote
and comment!
Finally,
if you are interested in writing for IVM please direct your attention
to the tab at the top of the site marked 'Writing For IVM'.
Especially if you are a film buff.
