A new year, and another new zine...
Welcome to Intravenous Magazine. A new blog-based webzine aimed at covering the dark side of music, art, literature, film and culture. I'ts finally the day of reckoning and so far the response to IVM has been great, and that's before we even launched!
The original idea to create a webzine has been in the back of my mind for a couple of years now but it was only recently that I felt the time was finally right to launch it. After a lot of thought I settled on the name Intravenous Magazine for two reasons... number one being that a lengthy google search showed up no other Intravenous Magazines and number two, I was sick of trying to think of anything else!
If you check the site today you'll see that we already have several music reviews for the likes of tweaker, Aeon Sable and Broken Links, a look back on the top twelve moments of 2012 courtesy of D. Void and Missy from the infamous Club Antichrist as well as an interview with Richard Pyne of Uberbyte!
Over the next month you'll see a head-to-head battle between Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee for Hammer Horror supremacy, as well as interviews with Matt Fanale from Caustic, Chris Vrenna from tweaker, avant garde industrialists Laibach and Rodney Orpheus of the Cassandra Complex.
Also make sure that you follow the site on Facebook and Twitter as well to be in with a chance of winning a prize in our launch competition courtesy of Static Distortion Records.
What better way to welcome the new year? But if that's not enough we have more in store for you on the site with new reviews, features and interviews as well as columns, monthly podcasts and even more in the future!
Finally, if you are interested in writing for IVM please direct your attention to the tap at the top of the site marked 'Writing For IVM'. We are currently looking for three guest columnists as well as writers and reviewers specialising in music, books and films.
